The Higher Education Treasury Expertise Certificate (TEC) program is an online Treasury Basics Certificate that once complete indicates a mastery in the Higher Education Treasury and Financial Management best practices. The program is recommended for current treasury analysts, management analysts, budget analysts, accountants, cashiers, treasury supervisors, treasury managers and many other job titles that pertain to the treasury management and finance functions on a typical higher education campus.

The majority of the material is appropriate for employees with an Advanced/Expert level of experience (BA/Masters in Finance or related experience). However, this is an excellent introduction to those with Intermediary level experience, looking to move up within their profession, or understand in detail the challenges and concepts modern treasury professionals face today. It's not recommended as an introduction.

HETS designed the Treasury Expertise Certificate for financial professionals in higher education – not just CFOs and Treasurers. This is a valuable tool for anyone interested in:

  • Career Advancement
  • Cooperation Among Departments
  • Streamlined Operations
  • Changes to Payment Systems
  • Effective Budgeting
